The Greer Studio 10 is an amazingly versatile amp. 10 watts +/- depending on choice of powertube. All tube construction. Will take JJ6v6,5881, 6l6, EL34, or 6550 tubes without the need for rebiasing. Stock with a Eminence Copperhead speaker, it delievers a hybrid of classic 'Fullerton' era tones at a very reasonable volume making it perfect for recording and small jams.

Changing the powertube revoices the amp and yeilds an amazing array of tones. It sounds full and rich, but still punchy with the right amount of high end bite. Also great with pedals!

Mike - I probably own close to 30 amps from all walks of life...vintage brownface and blackface Fenders as well as boutiques from Carr, Fargen and Goodsell to name a few. Guess I'm kind of an amp junkie to an extent and so I got in line for a Greer Studio 10. I was intrigued by the amp's tube swapping ability, not to mention it looked just plain cool covered in that vintage brown tolex. I knew Nick's amps were great (I own an Underdog 15) and I figured the Studio 10 would be no exception but to be perfectly honest, I wasn't expecting to be overwhelmed....I mean, how much can a 10 watt amp (at least one not from circa 1950) overwhelm? Well, it has overwhelmed and then some. I simply wasn't expecting what hit me when I plugged into it for the first time and it continues to amaze me everytime I turn it on, which I do quite often. My personal favorite is a Telecaster while running the amp with a 5881 and a 5AR4...pure magic! And while it doesn't need any effects to sound stunning, it takes them quite nicely...probably better than any amp I own. Thanks to you and Nick both for designing a cost-effective, very versatile little 10 watt monster. This one will be in the collection for a long time to come.
